I have not posted anything in quite a while. Things have been abnormally busy and hectic for the past year or so.
Anyway -- I'm going to get back to posting when I can, and I'm going to include some other stuff besides beer, believe it or not.
This summer, which has been hot and humid thus far (in other words, has sucked thus far), I have been enjoying lighter beers. My guilty pleasure of PBR has been on the list several times this summer, but the two winners that have consistently emerged in the battle of refreshment are Sam Adams Summer Ale and Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy.
Actually, I purchased a "Summer Sampler" 12-pack of Leinie's various selections. It included Summer Shandy (Beer + Lemonade flavors), Sunset Wheet, Honey Weiss, and Traditional Amber. Refreshing and good all around.
Summer Shandy has been an unexpected pleasure this summer. I don't know why, exactly, but it seems to be hitting the spot on a consistent basis.
